Deep Tissue massage & Dry Needling

Deep Tissue Massage focuses on the deeper muscle layers by using deeper pressure to help break down trigger points and scar tissue, reduces muscle tension and inflammation and helps to restore normal movements. A pregnancy massage uses deep tissue techniques. This is done by lying on the side/ back. This is suitable for any expecting mother with the exception of the first trimester period (1- 12 weeks). Or due to complications where the doctor has advised against it. Dry Needling is highly effective for relieving muscular pain and trigger point release (knots). Common conditions treated include back and neck pain, headaches, lower body tightness and general stiffness. This technique can be used as a stand-alone treatment for 45 min or can be combined with a 60 min Deep Tissue Massage. This treatment is combined with Dry Needling which is aimed to treat muscular pain and trigger points. This involves inserting multiple sterile, single-use acupuncture needles directly into myofascial trigger points i.e tight tender knots within the muscle. This may cause a sharp pain in certain movements, for example between the shoulder blades. ​Some clients will get immediate relief while others maybe experienced soreness in the treated area for up to a week. This is completely normal.
